释义 | holophrastic, a. Philol.|hɒləʊˈfræstɪk| [f. holo- + Gr. ϕραστικ-ός, f. ϕράζειν to indicate, tell, express. Cf. F. holophrastique (Littré).] Of the nature of holophrasis: expressing a whole phrase or combination of ideas by a single word. Hence (as a back-formation, after spasm, spastic, etc.) ˈholophrasm = holophrase.
