释义 | ‖ Didynamia Bot.|dɪdɪˈneɪmɪə| [mod.L. (Linnæus, 1735) f. Gr. δι- di-2 twice, two + δύναµις power, strength; fancifully referring to the superior length of two of the stamens.] The fourteenth class in the Linnæan Sexual System of plants, containing those with four stamens in pairs of unequal length, and comprehending the families Labiatæ, Scrophulariaceæ, and other smaller groups. Hence ˈdidynam, a plant of this class; didyˈnamian a., didyˈnamic a., of or pertaining to the class Didynamia; didynamous.
