释义 | Haussmannize, v.|ˈhaʊsmənaɪz| [f. name of Baron Haussmann, who, when prefect of the Seine (1853–1870), carried out the remodelling of a great part of the city of Paris.] trans. To open out, widen, and straighten streets, and generally rebuild, after the fashion in which Haussmann rebuilt Paris.
