A camelopard or giraffe.[Wyclif appears to have had before him a Latin text reading cameleopardalum; this he mistook for two words, rendering cameleo ‘camelion’ (with a description identifying it with the giraffe), and pardalum ‘pardalun, that is a litil pard’.
