释义 | ‖ haphtarah|hafˈtaːra| Also haftara, haphtara, hapht(h)orah. Pl. -rot(h). [Heb. haphṭārāh, pl. haphṭārōth, lit. conclusion, f. pāṭar to bring to an end.] The lesson from one of the Prophets, which is associated with each lesson from the Law (called parashah), and is read after it in the Jewish synagogue on the sabbath.
