释义 | infarction Path.|ɪnˈfɑːkʃən| [n. of action from L. infarcīre: see prec.] The action of stuffing up or condition of being stuffed up, obstruction; concr. the substance with which a vessel or other part is stuffed up, or a portion of tissue thus affected (= infarct n.). Now usually restricted to morbid conditions of the tissues resulting from obstruction of the circulation, as by an embolus.
