释义 | lactamase Biochem.|ˈlæktəmeɪz, -s| [f. lactam + -ase.] β-lactamase: any of the enzymes (produced by certain bacteria) which cause the breaking of the carbon-nitrogen bond in the lactam ring of penicillins and cephalosporins (so rendering them ineffective as antibiotics).
