An animal parasitic upon a parasite, as certain insects in the larval state. So hyperparaˈsitic a., parasitic on or in a parasite; hyperˈparasitism, the condition of being hyperparasitic, as exemplified by certain Ichneumonidæ and Chalcididæ, the larvæ of which live in the bodies of other insect parasites.
