XXIII. 417), f. soleno- + Gr. γλυϕή carving.] A venomous snake belonging to a group characterized by extra venom glands and grooved fangs which can be retracted. Also as adj. Hence solenoˈglyphous a., of or pertaining to a snake of this kind.
