The Government National Mortgage Association, a U.S. government agency established in 1968 as part of the restructuring of the Federal National Mortgage Association (cf. Fannie Mae n.), which guarantees securities backed by government-insured mortgages and administers housing assistance programmes. Also: a security guaranteed by this agency.
