释义 | ‖ howdah East Ind.|ˈhaʊdə| Also houda, howda, houdah, houdar, -er. [Pers. and Urdū haudah, modified from Arab. haudaj, a litter carried by a camel or an elephant.] A seat to contain two or more persons, usually fitted with a railing and a canopy, erected on the back of an elephant.
