释义 | hieratite Min.|ˈhaɪərətaɪt| [a. It. hieratite (A. Cossa 1882, in Atti d. R. Accad. dei Lincei (Trans.) VI. 141), f. Hiera, ancient name of Vulcano, one of the Lipari Islands: see -ite1.] A colourless or greyish fluoride of potassium and silicon, K2SiF6, occurring in stalactitic concretions in the crater of Vulcano and on Vesuvius. The abstract cited in quot. 1882 consistently spells the word hieralite, although Cossa's form was -tite.
